Your water observation scope is ready to use! Take it to somewhere with access to water, like the ocean, a pond, or a creek. Gently push the water observation scope into the water so that the hole covered in plastic wrap is underwater but there is no water pouring over the top. Look into the scope. What can you observe?
Your Water Observation Scope allows you to look into a body of water and see what’s going on underneath! How does it work? Think about looking at the surface of a lake or pool of water. You can probably see yourself and the area behind you being reflected by the water, like a mirror. By pushing the container into the water, you are able to avoid and “look past” the reflections into the world underneath! In a similar way, pushing into the water and past the surface helps you to avoid the glare you might get from the sunlight. Your Water Observation Scope lets you observe what is going on underwater without the distractions from the water’s surface!
